The Royal Alberta College (RAC) invites organizations to submit proposals for the development and delivery of an outreach program that supports newcomer youth in Canada who are eligible to attend post-secondary education. This initiative aims to increase awareness of educational pathways, provide guidance on accessing resources, and address barriers that may limit opportunities for newcomer youth to pursue higher education.

The successful proponent will collaborate with community partners to gather insights and create resources that are culturally responsive, youth-centered, and accessible.

Proposal Requirements

Proposals must include: Contact Information/ Introduction/ Scope of Work/ Timeline/ Project Plan/ Breakdown of Services & Budget /Qualifications and or Expertise

Scope of Work

The selected partner (organization, individual, collective, cohort) will:

Develop an outreach project focused on newcomer youth who are eligible for post-secondary schooling in Canada.
Create safe, inclusive spaces (virtual or in-person) where youth can ask questions and share experiences related to accessing post-secondary opportunities.
Work with schools, settlement agencies, and community organizations to promote engagement.
Collect and document feedback from youth to better understand the barriers they face
Generate resources that explain admissions processes, financial aid options, bridging programs, and available supports in clear, accessible language.

Expected Outcomes:

Increased awareness of post-secondary pathways among newcomer youth in Canada.
At a minimum of 60 youth participants in total engaged in discussions and activities.

Proposals will be assessed based on the following:
